We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful and centrally located cottage. The kitchen was wonderful, fully equipped with everything we needed including a cafetiere. The cottage was clean, warm, and cosy, with underfloor heating and a real wood burner. Parking was available right outside the cottage and it was free. The cottage also had great WiFi for streaming Netflix. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, with easy access to the Pennine Way for walks. The cottage provided towels for our dogs and there were dog-friendly shops and cafes nearby. The keysafe was easy to use and the shower came with complimentary gels and shampoos. we highly recommend this cottage and would love to return.
All good.

On our recent stay in Alston, we found the location of this charming cottage to be absolutely central. It was like being in the heart of everything, just a stone's throw away from all the attractions. The bathroom, although compact, added to the authenticity of the cottage experience, and we couldn't help but chuckle at its adorable smallness.
Stairs were numerous.

It's tucked away in a quiet corner of the centre. Really well equipped, warm, cosy, clean. Parking right outside. Looks small from outside but it's not, there's a generous kitchen, good sized living room and bedroom. Lots of information is provided about the area, history and walks, so you just need to turn up and enjoy yourself! Walking distance to pubs with food, and just round the corner from the co-op. We ate out at Alston house which was very good. Great location with friendly hosts. Highly recommended.
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.
